Google Translate API v2
Starting with version 4.7x.0127, the Add-Ins for Visual Studio 2010 and 2008 use the Google Translate API v2.
This is a paid service. The free version of the API will be discontinued from the 1st of December 2011.
The Add-In contains an API key with a limited daily quota. I have no idea how quickly this quota will be reached. I reserve the right to adjust this quota at any time, or to disable the API key entirely. That is to say, I am giving no guarantee that I will support Google online translation at my cost.
If you wish to use the Google online translation without limitation, you can register with Google and create your own API key. You can configure the Add-In to use your API key.
This support is not available in the Add-In for Visual Studio 2005, because the google-api-for-dotnet requires at least .NET Framework 3.5. I will investigate whether I can compile my own version of the API using .NET Framework 2.0.
The Microsoft translator is still available as a free service.
