Search for ID ?

We are getting some feedback from our translators.. And locating strings in large projects can be difficult.

You got this great search-window - but how about searching for "next instance of ID XXX" ? That should be easy for me to type in?

E.g. we got some DropDownList value-attributes selected for translation by mistake. They contained language codes (fr, da, en etc.). With 2.000 strings in the project, we got a couple of strings "containing" the string "fr" making it really difficult to locate where to remove the strings from translation.

Just the possibility to search for "entire string" would be appreciated very much! That would in most cases cause more typing than the ID would, but it would be better than today.

You can search for an entire string. The search dialog contains a check box "Full string only".

Searching for an ID would be relatively easy to implement. I will take a look at it.

Thank you for the answer .. could have saved me some work ;-)

While we are at theese things .. When do you want to translate an empty string with no comment in an export without control-names?

And could we maybe get a way to search for empty strings while you are at it? (The ID search could work as well by exporting and making an excel filter for empty strings and then typing the ID's)
