Please please please tell me about installation problems!
Installation problems are about the most frustrating problem for a shareware product. People don't even start to evaluate the product, if the installation does not work.
If there is a problem in my installation program, then I do not know about it, but I surely do want to.
I would specifically like to know whether the logic to download and install SQL Server Compact 3.5 is reliable. Does it work in a corporate environment?
Today, I learned that the logic to detect whether SQL Server Compact 3.5 is already installed did not detect a German version of it. In this specific case, the user could not install the Add-In, because he was offline. That was doubly stupid, because he didn't really need to download and install SQL Server Compact 3.5 anyway.
I think that I have fixed that problem, but I am still a bit worried that this mechanism may be preventing other potential users from installing the Add-In.
